Wait until it gets dark
An office on the third floor, no signs of life, no people. A cleaning lady mops an empty corridor. A light in the distance. Her reflection plays on window pane. You are invited into her nightly routine: cleaning the windows, restocking the toilets, enjoying a cigarette in the broom cupboard, until the kettle boils and a woman dressed as a Russian spy returns home.
Wait Until It Gets Dark was a site-specific performance that took place in March 2007 in an empty office in London Bridge and took an audience on a sensory journey through the night.
